Pause Floral Workshops was born from a shared longing for simplicity — to appreciate a bendy stem, to give the butterflies space to dance.
Anli and Amanda met nine years ago at a flower business workshop in Stellenbosch. As florists in South Africa started freelancing for each other, their friendship grew — and they quickly discovered they were two peas in a pod.
"To appreciate a bendy stem. To give the butterflies space to dance."
Pause was born from a shared longing for simplicity. They have now welcomed over 200 florists across 10 workshops — every one personal, intentional, and a little bit life-changing.

With over 12 years in the South African wedding industry, Anli is known for her romantic, effortlessly organic arrangements — entire floral worlds that feel like they grew there naturally.
Her work is characterised by deep sensitivity to texture, colour, and season.

Amanda brings structural knowledge and an eye for drama balanced with restraint. Her tablescapes and installations have graced the Boland's most celebrated weddings and editorial shoots.
She has an extraordinary gift for seeing the whole picture — from a single stem to a full ceremony space.
@kadoufloraldesign ↗In a world of "more is more", we teach the courage to place one stem intentionally. The pause before the arrangement is where the magic lives.
We share everything — pricing, sourcing, mechanics, business, heartbreak, joy. Nothing held back. If we know it, you leave knowing it.
The South African floral community is small and beautiful. We believe in lifting each other. Every student who leaves Pause makes our industry richer.
Two dates in 2026, limited to 18 students each. Seats fill fast.
